Lehigh Valley Humane Society, in Southeastern Pennsylvania, was founded in 1906 to provide a haven for homeless animals and to prevent cruelty to both animals and children. In recent years the organization has also established a Community Vet Clinic which provides affordable, accessible veterinary care to owned pets in the greater Lehigh Valley community in an effort to bridge the resources gap that many pet owners face, especially in underserved or marginalized communities.
